Natural Ways to Remove Small Pores From Your Face

This problem is more common in oily skin due to blockage of pores and stuck dirt and in aged skin due to decreased production of elastin and collagen. Let us dive deeper into the natural ways of removing small pores from your face by natural packs, exfoliators, and more.

1. Tomato

Tomatoes work as a natural astringent on your skin, which helps reduce open pores. So, either you can just cut a tomato in half and rub it on your skin and leave the pulp on the skin for 15 minutes. Or, take a bowl, add a few drops of lemon juice to one ripe crushed tomato, and apply it to the face with a cotton ball. Then wash your face after 15 minutes with cold water.

You can also use oatmeal with tomato if you have oily skin, as oatmeal helps soak excess oil from the skin and helps remove dead skin cells because oatmeal has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. They also work as natural cleansers due to the presence of saponins in them.

So, make a paste of a tiny ripe tomato and 1 tbsp ground oatmeal. Apply the mix to the face once a week to enjoy effective results.

Tip: You can apply a paste of 2 tbsp oats and 1 tbsp milk and scrub your skin when the paste dries off. And then wash your face with cold water.

2. Cucumber

Cucumber is high in silica, giving you a cooling effect and helping in tightening the enlarged pores. In a spray bottle, add 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 cup rose water (exceptional), and ½ cup cucumber juice, and spray it on your face each time you wash your face. You can also use it as a toner by letting the sprayed liquid dry on your skin and then applying cream or moisturizer.

Like tomatoes, lemon also works as an astringent providing the same benefits for pores on your skin that tomato does. Unlike tomatoes, it has citric acid, which also helps to exfoliate the skin.

3. Egg White

Eggs are rich in protein and have vitamins and minerals that help tighten your skin pores. And can help close the widely opened pores and clarify pores. Eggs are the best option for oily skin. Just take one egg and add a few drops of lemon juice. Spread it on the face and then wash off with cool water as soon as the mask dries off. You can repeat it 2 to 3 times a week to see the best results.

Or, make a paste of one egg white and half tbsp sandalwood powder, adding milk if needed to get a smooth consistency. You can also make a fine paste by adding 1 egg white to 2 tbsp oatmeal powder and 2 tbsp lemon juice.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera shrinks the pores and nourishes, hydrates, and helps remove dirt from the pores. And if you daily apply aloe vera on your skin, you can get smooth and soft skin. So, to remove small pores on the face, massage aloe vera to your skin gently for a few minutes. After around 10 minutes, rinse off your face. You can use both packed and fresh aloe vera gel and the gel.

Yogurt in this mixture helps tighten pores and has a mild bleaching agent. It also helps smoothen your skin texture and exfoliate, removing dead skin cells.

10. Sugar

Sugar is an excellent exfoliating agent and helps remove impurities and help reduce the sizes of the pores. It also helps prevent bacterias that clog the pores by breaking down collagen.
